Why do it?
Why not? Wanted to do something different to showcase what can be done with React. Also wanted to integrate various free API’s to show how easily it can be done even on a play website.
How we did it?
All the code is available on github https://github.com/animasoul/AbelTerm and used a terminal emulator NPM component integrated into the React framework then customised.
The code is hosted on github as a free service and the domain mapped, so deployment workflow is made easy, each push change triggers a re-build and deploy, easy peasy!
Dog & cat images, jokes and bitcoin prices are API powered for a bit of extra fun!
